Passmark has included benchmarks for the Ryzen AI 7 350, the top-of-the-range Kraken Point model if our colleague is to be believed. In short, in this test, the processor outperforms older generations except in multi-threading, where the CPU lags behind. Next, we look at some of its features.
Ryzen AI 7 350: better in single thread!
For the time being, Passmark’s database provides us with information on the CPU‘s characteristics. Broadly speaking, we’re dealing with a reference offering a hybrid configuration of its cores, with four P-Core and four E-Core. In terms of frequencies, we learn that it will operate at 2 GHz as standard, with a turbo that can reach 5 GHz. In terms of cache memory, it comes with a total of 16 MB of shared L3 and 1 MB of L2 per core. Finally, the TDP can be configured from a typical 45W to a minimum of 15W.
Of course, this is a CPU with integrated graphics. Here we find a RADEON 860M, about which we don’t know much yet.
Turning now to the scores, Passmark boasts a rather solid single-thread score of 3,919 pts, up 3.6% on the Ryzen 7 8845HS it replaces. Meanwhile, the AI 9 HX 370 and AI 7 Pro 360 posted single-threaded scores of 3,977 and 3,998 pts respectively. However, the multi-threaded score is lower, at 21,127 pts, less than the 28,806 pts of the 8845HS, a considerable difference: 36.3% in favour of the 8845HS would you believe !
