From Biostar, we’ll be highlighting the launch of a new graphics card with the arrival of the RX 580 White. We’re talking about a very old card from the brand, since this model was originally released in 2017.
A new RX 580 White in 2024 from Biostar!
With this card, Biostar offers us a wise model that doesn’t look like much. The only distinguishing feature is the white fairing. In terms of dimensions, it’s really not an imposing card, measuring just 224 mm in length and only two slots thick. The cooling system is relatively simple, with two fans blowing over a large block of machined aluminum.
Internally, we find a Polaris 20 GPU featuring 2048 SP. This is an earlier version of the RX 580, with fewer processing units. As a reminder, the original card features 2304 stream processors. Finally, on the memory side, we find a total of 8 GB GDDR5.
In short, this little card is designed for gaming at low resolutions, typically 1080p. Likewise, it’s a card designed for games such as moba and any other competitive game requiring few resources! Finally, it’s a safe bet that the card will only see the light of day in Asia, where there’s a market for this kind of solution.
