Core Ultra 200V: what can we expect?

What can we expect from these new processors? Clearly, this is a generation geared towards what we call ultrabook products. The range will offer up to 4 P cores, 4 E cores, up to 8 Xe2 GPU cores and 48 TOPS of AI performance. On this last point, this AI performance will enable brands equipping their machines with Lunar Lake to claim Microsoft’s Copilot PC certification.

In more detail, we’ll be taking a closer look at the performance of the graphics section, which is set to overtake AMD APUs. This will be articulated around Battlemage. Another noteworthy element is that Lunar Lake targets ARM chips, and this generation will adopt a very compact SOC design that integrates memory into the package itself. Forget about upgrading, Lunar Lake chips will offer 16GB or 32GB versions with LPDDR5x chips. Finally, the processors will be configured in 17W and 30W versions. The latter configuration will be used in mobile devices such as the future MSI Claw mobile console.
