On the AMD Germany website, one could see “RX 7600 XT” on the page for the non-XT version. Naturally, an AMD product that hasn’t been launched is the talk of the town, especially when you consider that this 7000 generation has only three boards… And three radically opposed boards at that. This has led to discussions about what a 7600 XT could be!
RX 7600 XT: a typo on AMD’s website, but would it still be relevant?
As you can see, the page title clearly mentions a 7600 XT… The only snag is that it’s the page for the non-XT version. Well, it’s a non-event, since it’s an error that crept onto the site’s page.
Nevertheless, it does raise the question of what a hypothetical RX 7600 XT would be like. In fact, should this card ever see the light of day, it would be based on a full Navi 33 GPU , the same as the non-XT. However, speculation points to a doubling of VRAM capacity from 8 GB to 16 GB. While this doubled memory capacity wouldn’t directly boost FPS, it would be a plus for VRAM-intensive games. It would make them easier to handle, reducing micro-stuttering effects for example.
Otherwise, as a reminder, AMD’s situation in the graphics card sector is rather delicate. For the moment, the company has concentrated on just two sectors: entry-level and (very) high-end, with the RX 7600 and RX 7900 XT(X). The Reds lack the RX 7700/7800 to compete fully with NVIDIA, which offers an almost complete range. The RTX 4060 Ti 16GB is due to arrive this month.
