ASRock: A620 cards compatible with PCIe 5.0 SSDs!

ASRock A620M Pro RS SSD PCIe 5.0 - carte mère A520

Our colleagues at Wccftech were able to get a copy of a card signed ASRock. With a A620M Pro RS WiFi (a rather nice card considering the segment) in their hands, the guys mounted a Ryzen 5 7600 and a PCIe Gen5 SSD from CFD Gaming. After booting up and running CrystalDiskInfo, they found out that the card fully supports the SSD. As a reminder, this model has two M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots. Moreover, after some tests, it turns out that the SSD does hold its 10 GB/s data rate.

Asus TUF Gaming A620M-Plus SSD PCIe 5.0 - carte mère A520

Now, via ITHome we learn that it is also for the TUF Gaming A620M-Plus from Asus. This time, the capture comes from the Chinese forum ChipHell where via HWiNFO64 we see a PCIe 5.0 SSD installed and fully recognized.

If the news seems good, beware of disappointments in case of bios update. Because this is a feature that will most likely be blocked in the coming weeks/months.
