Another coup for Chinese customs, who have once again managed to seize a fraudulent shipment of processors. History repeats itself, and this time it’s a man, equipped with a vehicle, who tried to “import” 450 Intel CPUs. Unfortunately, his suspicious attitude led to his detection.
450 Intel CPUs seized at customs… That, plus swallows’ nests!
Once again, the case took place at the Chinese border, at Macao level, via Gongbei customs. The man, nicknamed Mo, marks the crossing as “undeclared”, which we assume means that there were no goods to declare. Despite this, the authorities carried out a quick inspection of his vehicle, which, at first glance, was not suspicious.
However, the man’s strange gait caught the attention of the customs authorities who, after a search, found a total of 450 CPUs. These Intel-brand CPUs were wrapped around his thighs, and some were even concealed in his shoes.
Following this discovery, customs officials carried out a thorough inspection of the vehicle. Jackpot! In the backrests of the driver’s and passenger’s seats, hiding places had been created. These contained a further 306 blue processors and swallows’ nests. It’s worth noting that in China, edible swallows’ nests are highly prized delicacies, on a par with shark fins, for example.

In any case, we imagine that the goods were confiscated by customs. Moreover, seized goods may be sold at public auction in accordance with Chinese regulations.
