3 Ryzen 7000 X3D launched at CES 2023?

It is known that Ryzen 7000 X3D exist and that they will arrive in 2023. For the moment, questions are focused on two subjects: the actual launch date and the versions that will exist. A new rumor suggests that AMD will have a lot to say as early as next January at CES and especially that there would be Ryzen 7000 X3D 8, 12 and 16 cores. Until then, a 16-core version had become very hypothetical. The arrival of the latter as the top of the range becomes possible again.

Surprise on the Ryzen 7000 X3D range?

Contrary to previous information and leaks, AMD would have in its cartons a much wider range of Ryzen 7000X3D processors. Until recently, only 6 and 8 cores versions were mentioned to focus only on a gaming positioning. It seems that the (strong) position of Intel forces the reds to review their plan. Thus AMD could put on the market Ryzen equipped with 3D V-Cache with 8, 12 and 16 cores. These processors would have clock speeds of up to 5.7 GHz, the same frequencies as the “classic” Ryzen 7000. Several sources now seem convinced that AMD will launch a Ryzen 9 7950X3D with 16 cores, a Ryzen 9 7900X3D with 12 cores and Ryzen 7 with 8 cores (its exact name is still subject to questioning: 7700X3D or 7800X3D). As a result, there would no longer be a version with 6 cores as originally envisaged.

Some questions remain, however, and information comes in contradiction with previous leaks. First of all, the overclocking of the chips is again a question. The huge amount of cache on the chips (up to 192 MB of L3 cache memory, twice as much as the Ryzen 7 5800X3D) should generate additional heat. The TDP on these 3 future Ryzen 7000 X3D could be 170W…

At the same time, speculations on the performance of these next CPUs are coming from the Korean youtuber QUASARZONE.
