Z690 Godlike: PCB shows itself, big motherboard in sight!

MSI’s motherboard series is about to welcome a real monster. Indeed, the PCB of the Z690 Godlike is showing itself and it reveals a real behemoth. Next to it, the Maximus Z690 Extreme is a small card!

Z690 Godlike: a huge PCB!

MSI Z690 GodlikeAs we can see, the next MSI flagship has unusual dimensions. Indeed, the card measures 30.5 x 31 cm. On this PCB, we find a complete equipment, but especially a solid power supply for the CPU. The latter benefits from 22 phases and a duo of EPS12V connectors with eight pins. Nevertheless, the placement of the latter is above the DDR5 memory slots.

Speaking of DDR5, there are four DIMM slots capable of handling RAM running at 6666 MHz+ according to our colleague. The same goes for the capacity, since four 128GB max. DIMMs are supported (512GB max.).

As you can see, the PCIe are not numerous, they are simply two in number. If the first one is at home 5.0 in x16, the second one, visibly, will run at 4.0 standard and will be wired in x8.

The storage part is also very complete since it displays six SATA III connectors. Moreover, the M.2 will clearly not be left out with no less than six slots. In the lot we will find PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 3.0 x4, however, it is difficult to say which will run at what speed.

We just have to wait and see what this model really has in store for us. Also, what about the price when you know that some Z690 cards are more than 1000€ now. Clearly, it is frightening.
