As you know, the future X870 motherboards are about to be launched, but in a good week’s time. However, some retailers have already built up their stocks and are showing immediate availability.
X870: boards available immediately?
As we have seen, despite availability being announced for the end of September, some retailers have already put the product data sheets for certain references online. This is particularly the case at Amazon France ( and not only there) with certain Gigabyte references.

In Germany, some shops are not content to wait for the expected date and are offering cards with immediate availability. This can be seen in the screenshot above, with the X870 Aorus Elite WiFi 7 Ice available from €308.17 and in stock. This is also the case for its black counterpart, while the X870E Aorus Elite is available from €331.68.
In short, it now remains to be seen whether or not the cards will actually be shipped before 30 September. In any case, if you’re planning to buy a Ryzen 9000, there’s absolutely no need to buy a new motherboard. All you need to do is update your X670/E, B650/E or A620 model to install the new generation.
What’s more, these new models are based on refresh chipsets that don’t offer much in the way of improvements other than better WiFi or improved or more present quality of life features. Besides, why offer anything else when the original chipset is more than sufficient? It’s like a Lada, when it’s well thought out from the outset, there’s no need to touch it.
