A new motherboard reference from ASRock, with the unveiling of a small X600TM-ITX. This one is unusual, to say the least, as it features an AM5 socket while remaining compatible with Intel cooling systems.
X600TM-ITX: an AM5 motherboard cooled by Intel heatsinks!
With this motherboard, the brand is announcing a reference with an AM5 socket . However, the special feature of this model is its compatibility with Intel CPU heatsinks. In fact, the anchoring points are identical to those on the LGA-1700.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the card has no PCIe connector, so you’ll have to make do with the graphics part integrated into your processor. For more performance in this respect, the best option is to turn to Ryzen 8000G APUs.
As for memory, there are two DDR5 slots, just like on a conventional ITX motherboard. However, the memory will have to be in SO-DIMM format. In spite of all, the system can integrate up to 96 GB of memory operating at up to 6400 MT/s.
As for storage, there are two M.2 slots with PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and two SATA slots.
Rear connectivity will be more or less à la carte, with different configurations. Some have USB-C, or video outputs to manage more screens at once. In short, it really depends on your use. It has to be said that this model is intended for a variety of uses, such as education, office work and so on.
In any case, the rear connectivity features at least 1 Gbps Ethernet via a Realtek RTL8111H chip and audio outputs driven by a Realtek ALC269 chip. Finally, there are at least three USB-A ports.
