VIC GD: new range of power supplies from FSP!

A new series of power supplies from FSP, announcing its VIC GD range. The program features three power supplies in the entry-level sector. Forget modular cables, and 12V-2×6 is not available on all models. In short, if you’ve got a small wallet and juggling cables doesn’t scare you, this is a series to consider.

VIC GD: three non-modular power supplies!

FSP VIC GDWith this new series, the brand offers us a range of three power supplies with power ratings of 650W, 750W and 850W. In any case, output is expected to be impressive, thanks to 80+ Gold certification. Of course, you’ll find better, much better, especially with Titanium-certified power supplies, but they don’t come at the same price.

Here, cable management is non-modular, forcing you to find space in your case for unused connectors. And speaking of connectors, only the 750W and 850W models feature a 12V-2×6 connector to power the latest NVIDIA cards. The 650W version doesn’t have one.

Otherwise, these are rather compact power supplies, with a short casing only 14 cm deep. These blocks should fit into any mid-tower case on the market, which is a good thing. Even Geometric Future’s Model 5 is a good candidate, despite a PSU slot limited to 16 cm.

Internally, the brand opts for a 120 mm fan with HDB bearing. Obviously, no semi-passive operation here. However, the brand opts for quality capacitors, with models from Japan. All the electrical protections on the market are present, while references conform to the ATX 3.1 standard.

We don’t yet know the selling price, but we do know that the warranty is three years.
