Thermaltake launches 120/140 mm SwaFan EX fans

Thermaltake launches its new SwaFan EX fans in 120 and 140 mm. As a reminder, these windmills feature interchangeable blades. They come with a set of inverted blades for aesthetic assembly!

Thermaltake Swafan EX12The least we can say is that, with these fans, the chore of cleaning is over. Indeed, if the blades can be easily disassembled, they can easily be cleaned, and that’s a big plus. Nonetheless, Thermaltake has put its faith in aesthetics by supplying inverted blades. If you decide to install the suction mills in the bottom of a housing, you won’t have to see the blades from the frame.

Otherwise, the company is counting on the presence of a large number of aRGB diodes: 20 in all. These can be controlled via the brand’s software after connecting the mills to the controller. There’s also a new magnetic connector for connection to the frame.

As for specifications, the brand announces :

  • 120 mm (from 500 RPM to 2000 RPM) :

      • Static pressure: 2.39 mmH2O
    • Reverse blades :
      • Air flow: 56.26 CFM
      • Static pressure: 2.02 mmH2O
  • 140 mm (from 500 RPM to 2000 RPM) :
    • Standard blades :
      • Air flow: 81.6 CFM
      • Static pressure: 3.17 mmH2O
    • Reverse blades :
      • Air flow: 79.3 CFM
      • Static pressure: 2.73 mmH2O

All that’s left is to talk about prices, which aren’t given. As you can see, the three-fan pack is around €120 to €125 in 120 mm, compared with around €130 in 140 mm!
