The Last of Us is a mythical title that single-handedly turned consumers onto the PlayStation. So to talk about the arrival on PC of a game originally released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 is not something to really dream about. However, the Naughty Dog studio has rebuilt every element and texture from scratch and added features in order to “port” this title initially to PS5. But the same work has been done for PC and knowing that the PS5 version is scheduled for release in early September, it is likely that PC users will not have to wait much longer.
There is a real change in Sony’s policy regarding exclusive titles dedicated to the Playstation. Until last year, Sony’s console was considered the undisputed replacement for PC for gaming…Things have changed dramatically. In the last few hours, a key member of the Naughty Dog team has hinted that the remake of The Last of Us will be coming to PC “very soon” after its release on PlayStation 5. Obviously these words have no date value, but it seems that things are changing regarding the pace of Sony’s PC “ports” in the future.
