ASUS’s ProArt case series includes a large model, the PA602, as well as a smaller model, the PA401. It’s the latter we’re interested in, as it comes in a version that won’t appeal to everyone, but has the merit of featuring an even more sober color: beige. What’s more, this version comes with a wooden front panel .
ProArt PA401: a beige version with wood!
As a reminder, this case had rather compact dimensions of 225 (W) x 412 (D) x 503 (H) mm. Here, these remain unchanged, with only the general color scheme changing to beige. Of course, the front panel still benefits from light wood elements, perhaps oak.
Internally, we’ve got enough room to install an ATX-format motherboard, though it won’t be compatible with back-connect boards. You’ll also need to pay attention to the length of your graphics card: at 315 mm, the largest models won’t fit. The same applies to the CPU cooler (160 mm) and the power supply (170 mm).
By default, the ventilation is complete, with three fans: two 160 mm front intake fans, and one 120 mm rear exhaust fan. This can be completed by adding two 120/140 mm fans. As for liquid cooling, it’s the same story: we’re limited to a maximum of 240 mm radiators at the top.
On the other hand, the case benefits from a number of interesting options, such as a lockable power button. This is particularly useful with small children, who tend to press everything that comes along. Likewise, the panels can be unlocked at the touch of a button, and a hub that can manage up to five fans is included.
This beige version shakes up the established codes, while offering a case that perfectly accommodates Noctua fans and fans!
