The Arc 140V as fast as a GTX 1650… And it’s an iGPU!

A new data leak from Geekbench shows an Intel 140V in action. As a reminder, this is the iGPU of a Core Ultra 7 258V. As far as performance is concerned, you’ll see that it’s nothing but good news… At least, in synthetic testing.

Arc 140V: as fast as the GTX 1650!

Intel 140V performancesAs we can see, the iGPU scores 34,181 pts on GeekBench. This score puts the blue’s graphics chip on a par with NVIDIA’s GTX 1650, a dedicated graphics card with several years’ experience behind it. In the same vein, the latter comes up against AMD’s RADEON 780M, an integrated graphics unit found in many handheld consoles!

For the record, this score is also interesting because it shows the performance of an iGPU using Battlemage architecture. As a reminder, this architecture is expected to deliver a 50% performance improvement over Alchemist.

In this context, we find the iGPU mounted in a Core Ultra 7 258V, an 8-core CPU (4P4E). In terms of frequency, this processor is rated at 2.2 GHz and benefits from 12 MB of L3 cache. However, it’s the power consumption that’s of particular interest, with values ranging from 17W to 30W. The graphics section of this CPU runs at 1.95 GHz.

However, it will also be found in the Core Ultra 9 288V, but at a slightly faster 2.05 GHz. As for the processors themselves, it’s obviously the same configuration, but with a PL1 value of 30W versus 17W.
