TeamGroup is announcing new memory kits with the arrival of T-Create CAMM2 in DDR5. As a reminder, we’ve already talked to you about this format. It offers a number of advantages, including a smaller footprint, the ability to manage dual-channel operations via a single module, and reduced power consumption.
T-Create CAMM2: new-generation RAM from TeamGroup!
With its new memory, TeamGroup is offering two sets of RAM, the first for the general public, the second for the professional sector. There is a significant distinction in terms of operating frequencies. For the consumer market, the memory will operate at 7200 MT/s, while offering timings of 34-42-42-84.
The brand indicates that its memory offers speeds of 108 GB/s for writing, 106 GB/s for copying and 117 GB/s for reading, with an overall latency of 55 ns.
As for the pro sector, the kit will have a more reasonable frequency of 6400 MT/s, for reasons of stability, we imagine. TeamGroup is targeting applications such as AI and industrial applications.
Finally, we learn that the company is working on the format, with the ultimate aim of offering memory that will run at 9000 MT/s. In the meantime, although compatible motherboards were presented at Computex, for the moment they are still not available!
