The Steam’s hardware survey are still continuing, but there’s hardly any change… Well, except for AMD. However, don’t get too excited at the prospect of the Reds making inroads among the most widely used GPUs on the platform. No, the company’s presence is still as small as ever. However, there is a change among AMD’s most widely used graphics cards: the RX 6600 dethrones the RX 580!
RX 6600: the card overtakes the RX 580!
Unfortunately for AMD, the top 3 graphics cards on the platform are :
- RTX 3060 : 7,24% (+1,53%)
- RTX 4060M : 5,44% (+1,2%)
- RTX 4060 : 5,06% (+0,62%)
Despite this, AMD products accounted for 2.52% and 1.64% of the total, under the generic names “AMD Radeon Graphics” and “AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics”.
However, among the named cards, those correctly identified by the platform, we find the RX 6600, which has become the most widely used Reds’ card (0.96%), ahead of the RX 580 (0.94%).
For the rest, the platform’s typical configuration has changed little or not at all. The choice of processor is still a model equipped with cores running from 2.3 to 2.69 GHz. The machine is backed up by a total of 16 GB of RAM and an RTX 3060 graphics card. Finally, the majority of gamers play on a full HD screen.
