The Steam platform has just published its monthly report on the hardware used by gamers for the month of July 2024. NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 continues to gain share, while on theOS side, Windows 11 loses share to Windows 10!
RTX 3060: the queen on Steam!
In terms of numbers, the RTX 3060 continues to gain ground in gamers’ machines on the Steam platform. Indeed, the card boasts a utilization rate of 5.71%, up 0.21% this month. However, we mustn’t lose sight of the RTX 4060, which made very strong progress this month, with an adoption rate of 0.44%. This is the month’s biggest increase for graphics cards.
Unfortunately, AMD is still a long way behind, with the RX 580, the first card named in the ranking, present in 0.75% of machines. New-generation cards such as the RX 7900 XTX are far from popular: 0.37% in use.
As far as operating systems are concerned, there’s an interesting downward trend. While Windows 11 is Microsoft’s latest system, it is struggling to convince this month, with a rather impressive loss of speed: -0,82% ! Windows 10 is still the most widely installed system on gamers’ PCs , with a 50.16% share versus 45.81% for W11.
