Some news about a simple piece of Gigabyte PCB:

Until now, the names of Intel’s future processors have been kept under wraps. Even though next-generation motherboards were on show at Computex, the names of CPUs and chipsets were embargoed. Of course, it’s an open secret, even so. Now, a piece of Gigabyte PCB confirms the name of the future chipsets and CPUs of the blue!

As can be seen, just above the future memory slots, the PCB features the names of the destination processors. This shot then reveals that the board is destined for Intel’s Core Ultra processors. Clearly, the new blue denomination is now coming to the desktop platform, where it was previously reserved for the mobile platform.

The photo also shows that the board’s PCB was in its early stages of development, since the printed circuit board is black, whereas the model presented at Computex featured a completely white circuit. At the same time, a board called “Z890 Aorus Pro Ice” with a charcoal-black PCB… Doesn’t look too good.

Finally, as a reminder, with this generation, the Z890 chipset represents the top-of-the-range model. In particular, it will support overclocking via a multiplier coefficient, as well as advanced voltage management. It’s also the first chipset to see the light of day, scheduled for launch by the end of the year. The rest of the LGA-1851 range is scheduled for 2025.
