New fans from Silverstone, who are announcing their FHS 140X fans, which are unusual to say the least. At 38 mm thick, they are particularly imposing. In fact, they’re thicker than the Hyte Thicc FP12s, which are already 32 mm thick!

FHS 140X: very large Silverstone fans!

Silverstone FHS 140X

This new fan is a very simple model, to not say basic. In fact, this fan comes with a square black frame, black blades and that’s it, no RGB lighting or rubber silent blocks . At the same time, it should be pointed out that this is equipment intended for server installations.

At the same time, when you look at the datasheet, you realise that we’re not here to string pearls. This mill is designed to operate at very high speeds, in this case 3400 rpm. As for air flow and static pressure, the product data sheet mentions 222.95 CFM and 10 mmH2O.

Clearly, it’s pushing, so much so that round metal grilles are supplied to protect your fingers. Anyone who regularly assembles PCs knows that not very pleasant feeling when you inadvertently touch the blades of an operating fan. Well, at 3400 rpm, it’s likely to be even more unpleasant than before!

The retail price is currently unknown.
