Corsair announces a new series of RAM kits with the SHUGO DDR5 range. This memory features aluminum heatsinks with a Japanese theme. What’s more, the lighting system is a little more advanced than the traditional light bar, since RGB is even diffused into the aluminum heatsink.

With these memory kits, the American brand offers us memory that adopts a particularly meticulous visual style. For the moment, the series offers only two types of visuals. The first features a samurai, while the second shows a young woman in a yukata. The overall look is monochrome, with colored accents in red for the Samurai kit and purple for the second.
But Corsair innovates with RGB lighting that diffuses directly into the aluminum heatsink thanks to micro-perforations. These appear on the handle of the Samurai’s katana or on the Sakura’s temples for the second kit.
Finally, to fill all the memory slots on a motherboard, the kits arrive with faux barrettes for a more polished look.

In terms of features, Corsair highlights 2×16 GB kits. These operate at speeds of 6000 MT/s, while timings are 28-36-36-96. As for voltage, 1.4V is mentioned.
The brand’s marketing section refers to “hand-sorted DDR5 integrated circuits”. The PCB is also described as “high-performance”.
Prices that break the bank!
Last but not least, the retail price is particularly high. Corsair’s store lists it at €662.99!
