Seasonic has reworked its Core ATX 3 series of power supplies, making them compliant with several standards, including ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1. In short, we’re dealing with a very attractive series of power supplies.
Core ATX 3: Seasonic power supplies updated!
With this series, the brand offers us a range of three power ratings, with 650W, 750W and 850W models. The range also boasts 80+ Gold certification (92% efficiency at 50% load). There’s also fully modular cable management, so you can carefully select the connectors you need and avoid cluttering up the box with unnecessary cables.
The series is compact, with a 14 cm deep casing. So you shouldn’t have any trouble fitting these power supplies into a PC case, even in some ATX-compatible ITX models.
Internally, Seasonic is revamping the internal design of its blocks, opting for a design without internal cables. Instead, we have different PCBs positioned to encourage airflow between components. Speaking of airflow, ventilation is provided by a 120 mm fan. However, the fan is 100% active, so there is no semi-passive mode.
All the necessary electrical protection is also provided. These include the OCP,OPP,OPT, SCP,OVP and UVP.

Finally, all that remains is to talk about the price. These are €129.90 for 850W, €115.90 for 750W and €105.90 for 650W. Availability in Europe is set for the end of December in black and the end of February in white. The warranty is for seven years!
