AMD confirms, via its official Twitter/X account, the launch dates and sales prices of its future Ryzen 9000 processors. As a reminder, these processors were postponed on the grounds that they did not “meet the brand’s quality expectations”. This time, the company has confirmed the launch dates and sales prices of its processors.
Ryzen 9000 price and launch date confirmed!
First and foremost, the launch will take place in two phases. The lower-end models, Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X, will be launched early, tomorrow, Thursday August 8. Then, the Ryzen 9 9900X and Ryzen 9 9950X will arrive a week later: on August 15.
Prices are officially :
- Ryzen 9 9950X 16c/32t – 5.7 GHz – 80 MB cache: $649
- Ryzen 9 9900X 12c/24t – 5.6 GHz – 76 MB cache: $499
- Ryzen 7 9700X 8c/16t – 5.5 GHz – 40 MB cache: $359
- Ryzen 5 9600X 6c/12t – 5.4 GHz – 38 MB cache: $279
In broad terms, we’re talking about lower prices than the brand’s Ryzen 7000s. Prices are down by $30 to $50 depending on the model. As a reminder :
- Ryzen 9 7950X: $700
- Ryzen 9 7900X: $550
- Ryzen 7 7700X: $400
- Ryzen 5 7600X: $300
Please note that this launch is not accompanied by a new motherboard, for which you’ll have to wait until the launch of the Ryzen 9000X3D. These are expected in September.
