AMD has launched a new advertising campaign, clearly displaying a new graphics card, albeit a rather discreet one. This new card, unknown to the masses, suggests that it’s a new-generation reference card, and why not an RX 9070 XT? What’s more, it’s not impossible that the RX 8800 XT will change its name. We told you all about it here.
RX 9070 XT: a first look?
As you can see, AMD is presenting a card positioned vertically alongside a Ryzen 9 box. This design is therefore unknown to the masses, which suggests that this is a new-generation card and therefore possibly an RX 9070 series.
With its three-fan cooling system, the card is likely to be rather bulky. A rough estimate is around 30 cm in length, if not a little more. However, we can reasonably estimate its thickness at two slots. This would be consistent with the TDP leaked by Seasonic in its power supply calculator
Turning now to the design, the brand is said to be adopting something more contrasting than with its current RX 7000s. Here, we’re dealing with a design based on black and silver tones, unlike the current series whose cards are black with small dots of red here and there. There’s also an illuminated white RADEON logo on the bevelled edge of the card. In short, it’s a really neat design that you’ll be able to admire to the full when the card is mounted vertically!
According to Videocardz, this wouldn’t be the first time that the company has announced the design of its cards in advance. The company has already done so in the past with the R9 Fury, notably at a presentation for the company’s investors. This time, it’s an official advertising campaign launched on Reddit in particular. So it’s not a mistake, but the brand’s intention to raise the temperature around its products.
