A new graphics card from ASUS, the umpteenth revision of a graphics card. The brand is announcing its RTX 4060 Dual V3, a model that is more compact and simpler than ever!
RTX 4060 Dual V3: even more compact and simpler!
When you look at the ASUS card, it’s clear that it’s stripped down and has little in common with the V1. First and foremost, we find an ultra-simple plastic casing, with no markings other than the GeForce RTX on the edge. Likewise, the RGB is completely absent, as was the case with other versions, while the fans are smaller.
Frequencies remain unchanged, with a boost to 2490 MHz in OC mode, as opposed to the initial 2460 MHz.
Other than that, we’d like to point out that the dimensions are slightly smaller than those of the V2. Whereas the v2 measured 202.2 (W) x 120.3 (D) x 40.1 (H) mm, this v3 displays 202 (W) x 120 (D) x 40.1 (H) mm. By the way, the cooling system also seems to have been simplified, with one less heat pipe? Unless it’s moved to another location.
Finally, the question arises as to why ASUS is multiplying the revisions to its card. Perhaps it’s to rationalize it, remembering that a 4060 has a very low TDP and low power consumption, so there’s no need for a big cooling system.
