MSI plans to launch five new B850 motherboards!

MSI B850 roadmap

Despite an already comprehensive range of motherboards, MSI is planning to launch a total of five new models. These will complement the company’s MPG and Pro ranges, notably by adding a model in mini-ITX format. Speaking of ITXs, AMD’s offering is very poor in this area, with only four references presented at materiel.net in particular. Clearly, adding choice in this sector is not a bad idea.

For example, MSI is said to be offering an MPG B850I Edge WiFi, a card that we imagine to be entirely white, like its ATX-format counterpart.

Otherwise, the Pro range is set to receive three new models: Pro B850M-P WiFi, Pro B850M-B and Pro B850M-A WiFi PZ. There is also a Project Zero model, a range of boards with connectors positioned on the back of the PCB for cleaner assembly.

Finally, the entry-level Gaming series will receive a B850 Gaming Plus WiFi PZ, which also benefits from reversed connectivity.

In any case, with these new cards, we learn that the company will be offering cards with sufficient connectivity to support PCIe 5.0 SSDs as well as graphics cards running on this standard. What’s more, we’re expecting to see WiFi 7, as well as features that make life easier, grouped together under the name EZ DIY. Finally, for Ethernet, we’re talking about a 5 GbE chip.
