On the MSI side, we’ve learned that the brand is announcing new graphics cards featuring an RTX 5070 with World of Warcraft: Midnight branding. This new series includes two finishes with models in shades of purple to dark blue and a much brighter Light version that focuses on yellow/gold. In all cases, the brand is relying on its Gaming Trio series for the base card.
RTX 5070 World of Warcraft: Midnight, two finishes for MSI!
As a result, the design is identical to that of MSI’s RTX 5070 Gaming Trio, with no technical modifications. This means that the cards are quite imposing, measuring 338 mm in length and 2.5 slots in thickness. Be careful with your case, as this may cause problems depending on the model.
In any case, the card uses a cooling system equipped with three fans. These blow onto a double block of aluminum fins crossed by four copper heat pipes. Contact with the main heating elements—the GPU and memory—is made via a large nickel-plated copper base.
But what interests us here are the new finishes provided by this WoW: Midnight skin. The Void version features a card with dark blue and purple tones. The backplate displays the game’s logo, contrasting sharply with a flashy gold section.
In contrast, the Light version adopts warm shades based on yellow and gold. The fan blades remain white, while thebackplate also adopts dark shades.
The launch is now official, although we do not yet know how many units will be allocated to each version. The US price is $749.99 directly from the brand’s US online store.
Here and there are MSI’s product sheets!
