MSI’s X870E Godlike is back in the news, this time because of its launch date. During a weekly MSI Insider stream, we learnt that the brand is planning to launch its top-of-the-range card on September 4th 2024.

X870E Godlike: the top-of-the-range MSI card to be launched on September 4th?

As a reminder, the card in question was initially revealed via its PCB. This was in E-ATX format, like the other iterations of the card: X670E Goldlike and X570 Godlike.

With this new generation, we’re expecting a lot, particularly in terms of construction, with a 10-layer PCB. For the power supply, we should have a total of 28 power supply phases with 110A Dr.MOS. Not forgetting the small 8-pin PCIe to support the graphics card power supply. The aim? To relieve the 12VHPWR by supplying more power via the graphics card’s PCIe. So instead of burning up graphics cards, we’ll be burying motherboards *sarcasm*.

The connectivity should also feature two PCIe 5.0 x16 connectors, while the storage section will offer numerous slots for M.2 SSDs.

Otherwise, during the announcement of the card, we should be able to hear a few words about the X870 Tomahawk, Pro X870-P WiFI and X870E Carbon WiFi.

In short, we’ll get back to you soon!
