Handheld consoles have been a big topic over the past year, and it looks like manufacturers want to do it again in 2025… Starting with MSI, whose Claw 8 AI is starting to appear online. In fact, a CES fact sheet reveals the first details.
MSI Claw 8 AI , the first specifications appear!
First of all, we learn that the console will be powered by a Lunar Lake CPU, with a second-generation Arc iGPU. This system will drive an 8″ screen. We have also learned that the system will have 48 TOPs of computing power.
But that’s not all, because a handheld console also means autonomy and battery capacity. Here, we learn that the battery in MSI’s new console will have a capacity of 82 WHr, offering a battery life of over 4 hours on AAA games. While this gives us an indication of how long it will last, we don’t know what the conditions behind this are: which game? What framerate ? What graphics quality?
In any case, we should find out a little more at CES, which will be held from 7 to 10 January 2025 in Las Vegas, as it is every year.
