Lots of RTX 50 PCBs in the test phase!

On the graphics card front, development of the future RTX 50s continues. Of course, while a GPU is essential for a graphics card to function properly, so is the PCB. At the moment, it’s this element that’s of particular interest to us, as the Greens are said to have no fewer than seven in a testing phase. Once again, they have been spotted in a shipping manifest.

RTX 50: 7 PCBs in the test phase!

PCB NVIDIA RTX 50

Via @harukaze5719 on X.com, we find seven PCB variants. Among these seven PCBs for graphics cards, we find the :

  • PG144 SKU 30 – PG144 SKU 45 – PG144 SKU 50
  • PG145 SKU 30
  • PG147 SKU 70 – PG147 SKU 50 – PG147 SKU 45

Broadly speaking, each variant has its own role to play. While the PG144 is intended for Founders Edition versions, the 30 and 45 versions are aimed more specifically at the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 respectively. As for the SKU, it’s hard to say what role it will play at the moment, according to Guru3D.

According to Guru3D, the PG145 and PG147 are intended for reference boards produced by NVIDIA’s partners. In layman’s terms, the Founders Edition is a specific model of card produced by the chameleon with its own design. Partners who want to offer affordable or MSRP boards use so-called reference PCBs designed by NVIDIA itself. The advantage is that all these boards use the same base, so there are no worries about fitting an alternative cooling system such as a waterblock, for example. In short, it would appear that the PG145 SKU 30 is intended for reference RTX 5090s.

Finally, for the other versions, it’s hard to say, perhaps other cards to come or professional versions.

Before we finish, the GB202 (RTX 5090) and GB203 (RTX 5080) cooling systems are also involved. Obviously, these are interchangeable, since the PCBs of the corresponding cards seem to share a similar centre-to-centre distance.
