LiquidHaus ISO: disproportionately ITX

0

When we think ITX, we generally think SFF (Small Form Factor), PCs with a compact footprint, suitable for small spaces or transport (LAN parties, for example). We also think of mid-range configurations with moderate heating. LiquidHaus disagrees, and proves it with its new ISO chassis.Liquidhaus-iso-demesurement-itx

LiquidHaus ISO: ITX with a difference

LiquidHaus are John and Ellie, two enthusiasts of custom watercooling, hardware and modding , who particularly like to push the limits of what can be called a PC. ISO (for Isometric, because of its design) is their new chassis. The concept is simple: to push back the limits of the ITX format, for which they have a vision diametrically opposed to current trends. At a time when minimalist builds are the order of the day, boasting an RTX 5090 in a 10L case (and some superb things in between), they’ve gone in a different direction. From the ITX world, they’ve retained a measured footprint: the ISO chassis measures 23cm by 20cm. It’s in height that things take on an unusual dimension! The structural rigidity of the LiquidHaus chassis is ensured by its material: brushed 304 stainless steel. But also by the main components, including the enormous 420mm radiator. Around this centerpiece, the chassis rises skyward to the motherboard support, which seems to float above the power supply. The power supply brings the final balance to the whole. The graphics card can be mounted in a variety of positions on the chassis, with no size or weight restrictions. Finally, accessories complete the package, making it easy to mount watercooling components of all kinds.Liquidhaus-iso-demesurement-itx

LiquidHaus ISO: for whom?

Certainly not for everyone. The chassis is openly aimed at enthusiasts looking for a challenge or a different proposition. It offers a unique watercooling experience, an impressive number of possible setups, an adventure. There are, however, a few constraints to contend with:

  • 420mm radiator
  • ITX motherboard
  • ATX power supply
  • Custom cables (a Cablemod reduction is offered with the chassis).

A few copies of the chassis are still available on the LiquidHaus website for €350, but in the meantime it’s attracting a lot of attention at trade shows. Thermal Grizzly chose it to present its waterblocks at Computex, and Alphacool did the same at CES. For our part, we’ll be bringing you a build on this chassis very soon!
