Lian Li launches its performance-oriented UNI FAN P28 fans

0

Lian Li launches a whole new batch of fans with its UNI FAN P28. We are talking about 120 mm mills, still very thick (28 mm). However, this time they are clearly focused on performance. We are talking about fans capable of operating at up to 2600 rpm all the same!

UNI FAN P28: up to 2600 rpm for a big airflow and high pressure!

These fans take up the advantages and strong points of the series. We think in particular of the connection in series of the mills, connection which is done via the frame of the latter. This makes it possible to organize them in groups, for example, a group of three in the top of a case, another in the front and the last one in the back. Of course, this facilitates the organization of their speed management and reduces the number of cables in the installation. In fact, an extension cable can be used to manage up to two fan clusters (up to a maximum of six).

The construction is well done and the materials are very resistant. The brand states that it uses a very rigid liquid crystal polymer. The goal is to avoid deformation at high speed. Here, the blades pass very close to the frame: only 0.6 mm.

These new fans will be able to operate according to three configurable speed profiles thanks to the controller. We find then :

  • Low Mode:
    • Speeds: 200 rpm to 1300 rpm
    • Air flow : 44,94 CFM
    • Static pressure: 1.3 mmH2O
  • Medium Mode:
    • Speeds: 200 rpm to 2200 rpm
    • Air flow: 77.76 CFM
    • Static pressure: 3.62 mmH20
  • High Mode:
    • Speeds: 200 rpm to 2600 rpm
    • Air flow: 92 CFM
    • Static pressure: 4.79 mmH2O

Clearly, the data sheet highlights fans capable of generating high static pressure, ideal for use on watercooling radiator. By the way, the mounting hooks are removable, which improves the compatibility with watercooling tips!

The fan is sold individually for $26 and in a pack of three for $75 with the controller. It will also be possible to add side LES strips for a cost of $19.99 in triple pack.
