A new screen from LG: the UltraGear GR75DC, a new benchmark in a format we like: 32:9. This screen comes with a high frequency, a high resolution and a high price tag!

UltraGear GR75DC: 32:9 at $899.99!

LG UltraGear GR75DCWith this new screen, the brand is offering us an imposing monitor with its 32:9 format. In layman’s terms, the format is similar to two monitors positioned side by side, and this is reflected in the resolution. It displays in DQHD, i.e. 5120×1440, all at high frequency: 200 Hz and low latency: 1 ms gray to gray. Behind, we’re treated to a 1500R curved VA panel.

Display brightness is a typical 400 cd/m², with a minimum of 320 cd/m². Contrast is 3000:1, with a minimum of 2400:1. Finally, viewing angles are 178°, while DCI-P3 coverage reaches 95%.

What’s more, the brand boasts practical features such as Picture by Picture and Picture in Picture. While the former lets you split the screen in two, the latter lets you display the video stream from another source simultaneously. Handy for professional use, streaming or otherwise.

All that remains now is to talk about the price, which is substantial. In fact, this model retails for $899.99 on the LG website.
