Adata is offering us a new batch of SSDs with its Legend 970 Pro range. This is a new series of SSDs in M.2 format with a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface. So the brand is announcing some big performances here !
Legend 970 Pro: Adata SSDs in PCIe 5.0 and 4TB!
With this series, the brand is offering a total of three SSDs with capacities of 1TB, 2TB and 4TB. All of them come in M.2 2280 format, with an active heatsink. The cooling system is assisted by a small fan to help dissipate heat.
In terms of performance, the brand claims maximum sequential speeds of 14 GB/s for reading and 11 GB/s for writing. In terms of random performance, we’re talking about 1.8 million IOPS reading, compared with 1.3 million IOPS writing . Finally, in terms of endurance, we have a maximum of 2,960 TBW.
Unfortunately, the company’s datasheet does not mention the type of memory nor the controller used. TechpowerUp does say, however, that it is based on the Legend 970, but with an updated controller and NAND.
Again, no retail price is known, however, these PCIe 5.0 models are expensive.
