Sorry, what did you say? Behind this rather peculiar name, der8enchtable, lies a bench table designed by the famous German overclocker and youtuber, der8auer, who is also CEO of the Thermal Grizzly brand. This product is the result of a collaboration between der8auer and Elmor from ElmorLab, a company we shouldn’t have to introduce to you if you’re a regular visitor to our site! We were particularly spoiled by Thermal Grizzly, as they sent us not only a copy of the der8enchtable, but also a hoodie, which I’ll introduce to you in a future video.
This benchtop doesn’t just accommodate your configuration. It also has an active PCB, powered by a 6-pin connector, and offers additional features such as several fan controllers, USB ports and SATA and microSD storage ports. Your motherboard is connected to the der8Enchtable test bench via a 9-pin USB connector.
As you can see, just like the ElmorLabs Benchtable we used to test graphics cards, this der8enchtable is aimed at journalists who mainly test motherboards. The idea is to be able to change motherboards easily, without having to reconnect and reinstall everything. If you connect your fans and cooling systems to it, you’ll be able to have a constant protocol with every motherboard tested. Basically, all you have to do is switch from one motherboard to another, and off you go!
The der8enchtable is compatible with all motherboard formats and can accommodate the heat sink of your AIO or that of a custom loop . As you can see, this is a tool for DIY enthusiasts, overclockers and journalists.
It can be laid directly flat, but there’s a system of feet available as part of the bundle . We’re preparing an unboxing video of this der8enchtable and its installation.
