A few days ago, we were lucky enough to get our hands on a copy of MSI’s Z790 MPOWER motherboard, as well as a DDR5 memory kit aesthetically associated with this model, the Patriot Viper Gaming Xtreme 5 MPOWER. The Z790 MPOWER was initially reserved for the Chinese market, but is now available in France. As you can see, the combination of these two products is simply superb !
So we’re going to be rushing to test this 2 DIMM motherboard to see what it can do when overclocked with the Xtreme 5 MPOWER clocked at 8000 MT/s in CL38, for a total capacity of 2 x 16 GB. We previously had the opportunity to review the Patriot Viper Xtreme 5 kit in 48 GB and clocked at 8200 MT/s CL38.
As we didn’t have enough metal yet, this combo will take its place on a Streacom bench, the silver BC1 V2 model. We’ll take this opportunity to give you our impressions of this « Open Benchtable » model.
Finally, this will also be an opportunity for us to introduce the Benchlab tool, born of a collaboration with OBT, to be used in conjunction with the BC1 V2. The principle of this product is to offer you a way of monitoring your configuration at several levels.
This is a real-time telemetry solution that will allow you to monitor temperatures, the power consumption of some of your components and the various voltages. See you soon to discover the performance of these different components!
