This time, we’re going to talk about RAM with Biostar which launches its first RAM kits. On the program, we find two Gaming X sets in DDR4 and with RGB please! In short, what can we expect?
Gaming X: DDR4 RAM kits running at 3600 MHz and 3200 MHz!
With its memory, Biostar offers two sets with different frequencies. For the time being, this memory is based on kits of 16 GB (2x 8 GB) and single 8 GB bars. For the frequencies, the fastest kits show 3600 MHz against 3200 MHz for the slowest. The timings are 18-22-22-42 and the voltage is 1.35V, classic for DDR4.
Be careful with the size of your CPU fan, though, as there might be a compatibility issue. Indeed, these modules are 135.8 mm high, so they could be a problem with the biggest fans.
Finally, we did not miss the lightbar on the top which will diffuse the shimmering colors of the RGB lighting. Lighting that can be controlled via the brand’s software. However, nothing is said about its compatibility with MSI, Asus, ASRock or Gigabyte systems.
As for prices, the 16GB 3600MHz kit is priced at 14900 yen, or about 115 €, compared to 13900 yen, or ~108 € after conversion.
