Frost Commander 140: the Thermalright heatsink is back… in white!

0

At the beginning of the year, Thermalright announced the arrival of a double tower heatsink, the Frost Commander 140. This time, the brand has come up with a new variant of its heatsink since it is now in full white.

Frost Commander 140: the heatsink goes full white!

Thermalright Frost Spirit 140 White With this new variation, overall, we have no change in dimensions. In fact, the set still displays 140 (W) x 121 (D) x 158 (H) mm, without the fans. In terms of weight, the radiator weighs 1000 g to which we must add 165 g and 175 g for the two fans.

Concerning the radiator, we find a double tower model with 53 fins per stack. These are also crossed by four copper heat pipes of 8 mm each. All this little world is joined at the base in copper C1100.

For ventilation, we have two fans, the first of 120 mm, a TL-C12 Pro-W in 120 mm and a second of 140 mm, a TL-D14X-W. Of course, these two models benefit from a PWM power supply. On the characteristics side, we have:

  • TL-C12 Pro-W :
    • Speed range: Up to 1850 RPM ±10%
    • Air flow : 82 CFM max.
    • Static pressure : 2.1 mmH2O max.
  • TL-D14X-W :
    • Speed range : Up to 1800 RPM ±10% Air flow : 95.5
    • Air flow : 95.5 CFM max.
    • Static pressure: 2.25 mmH2O max

For the moment, we do not know the selling price of this white version. However, it would be nice if its color did not lead to a price increase as it can be seen from time to time.
