This morning, a little tour at Cougar which announces the arrival of a new case intended for small PCs. Indeed, the brand offers us its Dust 2, a reference for ITX configurations!
Dust 2: a transportable case for small PCs!
With this new model, the brand offers a compact reference whose dimensions are as follows: 175 (W) x 403 (D) x 335 (H) mm, with the handles. The materials are also of high quality since we have steel for the chassis and aluminum for the front. Aluminum that offers a sandblasted and anodized treatment for a better application of color.
Inside, we find a compartmentalized design with motherboard and power supply on one side. On the other, we will have the right to the graphics card, which enjoys a generous space of 330 mm. On the power supply side, the case will accommodate 16 cm deep ATX PS2 blocks.
While the compartmentalized design allows for a lot of space for the GPU, it will have a negative impact on the CPU cooling unit. Indeed, the latter is only 70 mm high. Fortunately, we can fall back on an AIO with a maximum height of 280/240 mm.
As far as storage is concerned, this model has two 2.5″ slots as standard. The question of storage in 3.5″ will be more delicate, since it will condemn the use of an AIO. In the Dust 2, the large HDDs are installed at the top, at the level of the watercooling radiator.
Finally, you should know that this case has handles at the top to facilitate the transport of the machine. Also, it has a very square, very military look, especially thanks to its panel closing system. This last one reminds us strongly those of the Corsair Vengeance C70. Finally, on the side, there are two USB ports, one Type A and one Type C in addition to the power and reset buttons.
