Dockpower FI: Change the power supply, not the connectors!

Are you upgrading your setup and need to replace your power supply, but the thought of re-wiring everything is a hassle? That’s good news, because Thermaltake’s DockPower FI power supplies feature an interchangeable rear panel. The goal is simple: to let you upgrade your power supply without having to rewire everything! Basically, when changing the power supply, you unscrew the rear panel, swap out the power supply, and screw the panel back onto the new one. Just like that, in no time at all, you’ve gone from a 750W power supply to a 1200W one without having to redo all your cabling!

From 750W to 1200W!

Power supplies in this series feature an ATX form factor and are available in 750W, 850W, 1000W, and 1200W models. In terms of efficiency, this series is 80+ Gold certified and also meets the ATX 3.1 standard.

In terms of protections, Thermaltake offers the usual full suite, including OCP,OVP,UVP,OPP,SCP, and OTP. Additionally, it features a single 12V rail, the current of which varies depending on the power supply’s wattage. However, Thermaltake does not appear to highlight semi-passive cooling.

Despite this, the unit remains fairly compact, with a depth of no more than 16 cm, making it easy to fit inside a PC case, for example.

No price available yet:

Prices are not yet known. We simply know that they will be higher than those of a conventional power supply, although during Computex, the brand told us it intends to keep pricing fairly close to that of conventional models to maintain a certain level of appeal.

For now, the units will be sold with the dock, but models without docks are expected to arrive soon.
