Corsair presents its HX1200i and HX1500i, updated high-end power supplies. New features include new cables and dual 12V-2×6 connectors. The aim is to power several NVIDIA cards at the same time without the need for adapters!

HX1500i and HX1200i: a new vintage!

Corsair HX1500iPer se, with these two blocks, we’re back to top-of-the-range and imposing power supplies. Based on previous models, you can expect a depth of 20 cm. Clearly, it won’t fit into every case, so watch out! However, the visuals are as polished as ever, with bevelled edges, a triangular fan grill and matt black paint.

Of course, as these are top-of-the-range units, they come with a high level of certification, with Cybernetics Platinum and Cybernetics A- for noise. This guarantees silent operation, especially as the fan has a semi-passive operating mode.

With this, we retain compliance with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards. What’s more, these blocks now benefit from two 12V-2×6 connectors. A coloured connector confirms to the user that the socket is properly plugged in, thus avoiding any plugging errors. We can also mention the texture applied to the cable, which gives it a sheathed appearance instead of a simple moulding in the rubber of the cable.

Of course, there are plenty of cables. The HX1500i has two 4-pin CPUs, two 12V-2×6 followed by five PCIe 6+2-pin. Finally, the peripherals section features eight SATA and six molex.

Finally, it’s worth noting that these blocks benefit from a long warranty period with 10 years’ cover. Clearly, you’ll be able to make several configurations with blocks in this category! For the moment, prices are not known, but clearly, it’s going to hurt the wallet.
