In broad terms, the deal means that Corsair is taking over the entire company, as well as its foreign subsidiaries. The same applies to the company’s employees, who are coming under the control of the American brand.
We have also learned that Endor AG has not been doing very well for some time and has accumulated a large number of debts. In fact, according to the company’s financial results, to cut a long story short, the company generated annual sales of €100 million but had debts of €95 million… It’s not going well.
Recently, however, there had been signs that the takeover was imminent. Well, the two companies were already in negotiations about a takeover, dating back to last May. Then, at GamesCom, we were able to see Corsair racing simulators. It remains to be seen whether this hardware was designed in partnership with Fanatec after all.
Whatever the case, this acquisition strengthens Corsair’s position in the peripherals sector. In fact, for some time now, the brand has been acquiring a number of companies, including Scuf Gaming, El Gato and Origin PC. Quite a portfolio.
