Turning now to Intel processors, the overclockable Core U 200 CPUs were launched to more than moderate success. While these processors are quite good for applications, in games they are no match for the Core i 14th gen, which dominates them quite significantly… And according to TechpowerUp, future patches are not going to change this. In short, in this context, the market is still waiting for the non-K Core Ultra 200s, the packaging for which can be seen online!

As we can see, it would appear that Intel’s black boxes are reserved for models with an unlocked multiplier, the famous -K and -KF. Here, with non-K models, we have to make do with blue boxes. Despite everything, we find the same font with the same template, and the elements are arranged in the same places.

What’s more, unlike the -K models, the boxes here are thicker and quite pronounced, as you can see. This suggests that these processors might come with a little something extra: a stock cooler, or so we assume. If all this is confirmed, it’s the Core Ultra 9 that should have the company’s biggest stock cooler, with the Laminar RH1. After that, the Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 5 should arrive with the RM1, while the Core Ultra 3, if they arrive at all, should be offered with the RS1.

The difference between these different cooler models? Quite simply the size, as you can see from the image above. In any case, the expansion of this Core Ultra 200 range is scheduled for January 2025. So we should have Core Ultra 9/5/7s with TDPs of 65W. Of course, this drop in TDP will be at the expense of frequencies, which will be lower than their overclockable counterparts. With this in mind, we should also see entry-level and mid-range motherboards equipped with B860 chipsets in the upcoming days/month.
