Core i 13 and 14 have a high after-sales return rate!

Intel remains in turmoil with this instability problem affecting Core i 13 and 14. More precisely, the Core i7 and Core i9 are the most affected. In any case, via Les Numériques, we learn that the after-sales return rate on these generations is high. Count on 3 to 4 times more returns than the 12th generation!

Core i 13 and Core i 14: 3 to 4 times more returns than normal!

Instabilité 13e 14e génération IntelTo obtain this information, our confrères contacted a major European computer components retailer, who wished to remain anonymous. According to their source, there are 4 times more after-sales returns for the 13th generation of Intel CPUs than for the 12th. As for the 14th, released later, these returns are around 3 times higher.

However, when you put it like that, it doesn’t add up to much. We now need to look at the percentage of returns in relation to sales volume. And based on Mindfactory’s sales figures, which recorded a return rate of 1.75%, we can deduce that this figure is between 4 and 7% for the 13th gen, compared with 3 to 5.25% for the 14th.

In any case, you should be aware that if your processor starts to show instabilities, there’s a good chance it will be irreparably damaged. The patch scheduled for mid-August should therefore not solve your problem… It is primarily a preventive update designed to reduce certain tensions. Hopefully, this will solve the problem once and for all, as the blues have already tried this with the eTVB, but to no avail. What’s more, off the record, we learn that Intel doesn’t even seem sure that this is the root of the problem.
