The Alphacool brand presents new CPU waterblocks: Core 1 Carbon. As the name implies, they feature carbon. However, carbon is only present for aesthetic purposes!
Core 1 Carbon: carbon for block aesthetics!
The program includes a waterblock for Intel or AMD processors. It measures 72 (W) x 72 (D) x 26.50 (H) mm. The construction is based on machined brass, with a wide nickel-plated copper base.
Speaking of the base, it’s wide enough to cover the IHS of the largest processors, according to the brand’s press release. In fact, it’s compatible with Intel’s AM4/5 and LGA-1700 processors.
Otherwise, Alphacool announces that it has redesigned its copper base using a new 3D jetplate. All this reduces the temperatures obtained on your processor by 10°K.
Last but not least, the design of this block is simple and sober. The carbon fiber on the top adds a little texture variation that’s not unpleasant to the eye. Two versions are available: one with RGB lighting, the other without.
For prices, expect to pay around €130 with RGB lighting, €120 without!
