After Noctua Edition graphics cards in collaboration with ASUS, we’ve now moved on to Noctua Edition power supplies in collaboration with Seasonic. The two manufacturers have joined forces to offer a power supply in the colors of the Austrian brand.
Seasonic Prime TX-1600 Noctua Edition: a black and brown power supply!
The program features a power supply based on the high-end Prime TX-1600. In fact, the power supply in question offers a high power output of 1600W and high efficiency. We’re talking about 80 Titanium and Cybernetics ETA Titanium certification, guaranteeing efficiencies of at least 96% at 50% load!
For this model, Seasonic offers us a block in the colors of the Austrian brand Noctua… Although not quite. Historically, the brand’s colors are brown and beige; here, we have brown, but the beige will only be present on the fan’s frame.
Of course, ventilation is of the highest quality, provided by an NF-12×25 PWM. As a reminder, this is the fan found on ASUS boards. It’s renowned for its performance, but also for its low noise level, while its reinforced motor ensures good motor stability.
On the block side, of course, the fan grill has been extensively reworked. The aim: to keep noise to a minimum. In fact, to ensure a silent block, the fan will operate in semi-passive mode up to 50% load… Or until ambient temperature reaches 25°C. Otherwise, the power supply complies with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards. Connectivity is of course modular, but the icing on the cake would be to have cables sheathed strand by strand in Noctua colors!
According to the manufacturer, swapping the original 130 mm fan for an NF-A12x25 reduces noise pollution by 8 to 10 dB
