After the new D15, here are the new 140mm fans exposed by the Austrian brand. This time, it’s HardwareLuxx for photos and information. In short, here is what the future NF-A14 and NF-A15 of the brand should look like.
NF-A14: prototypes on display at the Noctua stand!

According to our German colleagues, the brand has encountered a number of difficulties to achieve a satisfactory result. Indeed, for Noctua to offer this new fan, the game had to be worth the candle, the mill had to stand out from the already well-designed A14 and the high-performance NF-A12x25.
Then, the other difficulty concerned the materials since, once again, we find the blades passing very close to the frame: 0.7 mm. Now, if the frame lacks rigidity or if it is deformed, the blades will rub on it, hindering or even preventing its operation. For this, the brand intends to exploit the Sterrox LCP polymer already in use on the NF-A12x25. The aim is to maximize blade and frame rigidity.

In short, with this new blade design, Noctua can make a difference with its current fans. That’s why a new version of the NH-D15 is possible. For the record, the company has been working on it since 2015… That’s saying something.
