[CES2025] The ROG Astral range arrives at ASUS

0

Following NVIDIA’s announcement last night of the arrival of the new NVIDIA RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti and 5070, it’s only natural that we should see announcements from our green partners. And it’s from ASUS that we have a new series of graphics cards bearing the reference ‘ROG Astral’! This new series seems to be the new top-of-the-range from ROG, apart from the Matrix series, and surpasses the ‘ROG Strix’ range.

The good news is that this ‘ROG Astral’ series will be available in an aircooling version, with a cooling system featuring not three, but four fans! A model equipped with an AIO-type liquid cooling system will also be available, under the reference: ROG Astral LC. In the video provided by ASUS, this series appears (for the time being) to be available only on the two top-of-the-range models, the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090.

Aesthetically, the visuals leave no doubt as to the high-end nature of the card. ASUS has chosen not to use thermal paste between the heat sink and the graphics chip, but a thermal pad. This ROG Astral is fitted with a fourth fan to optimise cooling while reducing noise pollution. ASUS is also announcing lower temperatures of up to 10°C.

The ROG Astral LC model features a 360 mm radiator equipped with three fans. A fourth fan is inserted into the card’s casing to provide additional cooling for the various components on the PCB, as was already the case with the ROG RTX 3090 Ti Strix LC OC. By the way, don’t hesitate to stay tuned to our site, as you should soon discover this new ROG Astral series.
