As we’ve seen, MSI is present at CES with a host of new products. There areAIOs, AMD and Intel motherboards and even laptops . However, the big Titan 18 HX isn’t the only MSI laptop on show. A total of seven ranges are on show, including the Raider, Vector, Stealth, Crosshair, Cybord and Venture series. We’re going to try (and fail) to find out all about them.
MSI Laptop, Raider 18 series:
With this Raider series, the brand says it has managed to fit an 18″ screen into a 17″ chassis. The latter will display in UHD, all at 120 Hz, not to mention the fact that it is HDR 1000 certified.
Otherwise, to drive such a configuration, we find machines equipped with AMD Ryzen processors up to Ryzen 9 9955HX3D or Core Ultra 9 275HX at maximum. As for the graphics card, this will go up to the RTX 5090. Of course, to cool this little world, we have a system integrating seven copper heat pipes and two fans. This system will be able to dissipate the combined 260W of the CPU and GPU.
Last but not least, RAM on Intel machines will reach 6400 MT/s, compared with 5600 MT/s on AMD machines. Similarly, Core Ultra-equipped laptops will benefit from a PCIe 5.0 SSD.
Vector PCs:
With Vector PCs , we’re talking about configurations equivalent to the Raider series. We’re talking about graphics cards up to RTX 5090 and Arrow Lake HX or Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processors. Once again, when it comes to RAM, Intel has the upper hand, with 6400 MT/s DDR5 versus 5600 MT/s for AMD. As for SSDs, PCIe 5.0 will be present on both machines. The main change, however, concerns the screen, which will be upgraded to 2560×1600 at 240 Hz.
This series will also be available in 17″, so it remains to be seen whether there will be any differences in configuration and resolution.
Stealth 18:
There’s a slight change in configuration with these new machines, as for the processor part, the brand is opting this time for Ryzen AI 9 HX on the AMD side and Arrow Lake HX on the Intel side. Once again, the graphics part will go up to the RTX 5090 in all cases. Cooling, however, is handled by a vapor chamber and two fans.
As for the screen, we’re dealing with a DisplayHDR 1000-certified 4K 120 Hz mini-LED slab. The diagonal is 18″.
A 16″ version has also been announced, with a GPU up to RTX 5090 and a CPU still based on Ryzen AI 300. However, the cooling system will be a little less elaborate: five heat pipes and two fans.
Last but not least, these machines boast the merits of AI.
The Crosshair 18 HX range:
In the Crosshair range, MSI offers us a series of PCs equipped with Core Ultra 9 275HX or Ryzen 9. Once again, the graphics part is entrusted to the RTX 50, which will drive a 2560×1600 QHD screen. This IPS-type display boasts a high refresh rate of 240 Hz, and will cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. To dissipate the heat emitted by the configuration, the cooling system incorporates five heat pipes and two fans.
The Cyborg range:
Among all these MSI laptops, we also find a Cyborg series, about which little is known except that it will be available in 17″, 15″ and 14″ models.
We’ll simply point out that the 17″ version boasts attractive markings on its chassis, while the 15″ model’s ventilation grille features ” True Gaming ” branding
Venture: the Business/pro series!
Last but not least, we round off our tour of MSI laptops with the Venture range, designed for business or even professional use. Several sizes are offered here, with machines in 17″, 16″, 15″ and 14″ Intel models, and 17″ and 15″ AMD laptops . To put it crudely, the configuration shows :
