ASUS has announced a new watercooling kit with its Ryuo IV SLC 360. This new model features a major innovation: a curved screen integrated directly onto the pump. The latter is reminiscent of Tryx’s Panorama kit.

Ryuo IV SLC 360: a curved screen for 3D effects!

ASUS Ryuo IV SLC 360Clearly, there’s a lot to be said for this new model. First and foremost, the new curved screen is a real eye-catcher. At the same time, it’s hard to miss it, since it’s clearly highlighted on the brand’s visuals. At 6.64″, it boasts a substantial diagonal. However, the resolution is not announced, but we do know that it will be able to display all sorts of things… System info, on the one hand, and on the other, 3D effects will be possible as well as the classic .gif and .jpeg, in short, nothing revolutionary here.

However, the kit does include another special feature: the location and length of the pipes. As you can see, the tubes are particularly short, measuring around twenty centimetres. They come out about halfway along the radiator, the aim being to simplify installation in a box while maintaining the aesthetics of the assembly. It’s true that on some AIOs, you find yourself having to make loops with your watercooling tubes, which isn’t always very practical or aesthetically pleasing.

Nonetheless, this positioning can cause problems. On the one hand, it’s one you’ll have to forget if you have to mount the radiator at the front of your case, here the tubes are clearly too short. On the other hand, beware of your housing’s capacity. In fact, the radiator is wider here, and its width should be close to that of a 420 mm kit. Once again, depending on the case, this may pose a size problem.
